Alpha Eta Events:

Upcoming! August 7-10, 2008 - National Convetion: This year's National Convention is in the Music City (aka Nashville, TN)! This is a great opportunity to explore our Brotherhood at a heightened level. There will be an awards ceremony, elections, roundtables, and plenty of fellowship opportunities.

May 24, 2008 - Senior Send-Off: This is the seniors' last goodbyes to the fraternity. Held in Lewis Park at 11 AM after the Brotherhood Picture.

May 18, 2008 - Brotherhood Meeting: Alpha Eta Chapter's last meeting of the 2007-2008 Academic Year. The meeting will be run by the newly elected Executive Committee and the Executive Board.

May 10, 2008 - Spring Formal: Alpha Eta's wonderful social co-chairs, Nikki Jacobs and Sierra Bush planned an exciting social near Atlantic City, NJ. The DJ played our staple songs, the Historians announced our yearly supleratives, and Brothers danced all night long. Also, a special thank you to our faculty advisor, Dr. Seraphin for joining us.

May 3, 2008 - Alumni Spring Picnic: All Alpha Eta Alumni are welcome to our annual spring picnic. Arrive at Kells Park at the end of Academy Street. Plenty of burgers, beverages, and frisbees will be there!

May 2, 2008 - Spring Class Initation: Alpha Omicron Frogs Initiation.

March 26, 2008 - Kick the Silence: Eleven teams helped our chapter raise money for a local charity, Child, Inc. Co-Chairs, Matt Pazoles and Heather Greene organized the day complete with the kickball tournament, t-shirts, pizza, and tons of fun. A special thanks to the two Brothers and their committee. March 9, 2008 - Alumni Career Day: The Brother and Alumni of our chapter held the Annual Alumni Career Day in Ewing Room at the Perkins Student Center. Brothers and Alumni had to chance to meet new people, network, and learn more about what life is like after the University Delaware chapter of our lives. We were truely honored to have 15 Alumni attend. And a special thanks to the Alumni Co-Chairs, Natalie Shroyer and Liz Van Wie for a successful event.

March 1-2, 2008 - Brotherhood Retreat! Once a semester, members of our chapter leave campus to explore new scholarship and leadership opportunities. This semester, our Historians, Dan Plaut, Mariaane Nagengast, and Katrina Swales planned a retreat to Princeton, NJ to tour Princeton University's Art Museum. And thanks to Brother, Katie Linek, we had a nearby place to stay overnight for team building activities.

November 10, 2007 - Founder's Day: We're 18! Olympic Game Theme. Founder's Day celebrates the day Richard C. Freed established our chapter, Alpha Eta. Prior events have been a Sweet 16th Skating Party and a 17th Amazing Race. All Alumni are more than welcome to attend. For more information on the day's events, contact our current Founder's Day co-chairs Katie Linek (klinek@udel.edu) and Jackie Speier (jschell@udel.edu).

This year's event was a ton of fun! Thank you to the co-chairs, Katie and Jackie, and their committee for a great time.

Saturday, October 20, 2007 - Hope Bowl: Hope Bowl is an annual charity co-ed flag-football tournament the Fraternity organizes to raise money to benefit AIDS Delaware. Congratulations to the Hope Bowl Co-chairs, Dan Wavra and Tricia Lyons, for a successful Hope Bowl. Final figures will be announced soon.

Friday, August 10-12, 2007 - Phi Sigma Pi National Convention: President Emily Huber, Parliamentarian, Kait Lunny and Ken Weisensee travelled to New Orleans, Lousisana to accept two awards for the Alpha Eta Chapter.

Our 2007 Awards:

...were all fraternity members.
